Kat Janowicz is a strategist with nearly three decades of experience in the energy, transportation, and cleantech sectors. With an MS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, she has become a leading figure in sustainability. Kat has worked on a broad spectrum of projects, from evaluating zero-emission technologies and infrastructure at seaports to engaging in global energy initiatives. A fervent advocate for education, she frequently speaks at industry events and serves on the boards of various associations. She is also the author of “Chasing Zero: The Story of How the Busiest US Ports Cut Pollution, Reshaped Industries, and Influenced Geopolitics in the Ongoing Quest for Clean Air,” which chronicles the transformative journey of the LA-Long Beach ports within the realm of international trade. Her book delves into the inner workings of the goods movement industry, focusing on decarbonizing the global supply chains linked to these ports. It's the story of how the busiest US ports became the cleanest ports in the world, a testament to innovation and collaboration in tackling environmental challenges.

Ni Yanbo, male, Han ethnicity, member of the Communist Party of China, was born in September 1970. He holds a Master of Engineering and is a senior economist. Mr. Ni began his career in August 1992 and formerly served as Director, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of Ningbo Zhoushan Port Company Limited. He is currently Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Provincial Seaport Group as well as Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group, with extensive experience in port operations, finance and financial management.

Wu Yuzhen, researcher of engineering technology application, serves as a Member of the CPC Committee and Executive Vice President of Qingdao Port of Shandong Port Group. His previous positions included Deputy Chief Engineer and Director of Technical Department of Yantai Port of Shandong Port Group; a Member of the CPC Committee, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Bohai Bay Port of Shandong Port Group.He took the current position in December 2023. Wu also serves as Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Committee of China Ports and Harbors Association.

Zhang Xi’nan is currently the Deputy General Manager of the Strategy & Enterprise Management Department / Deepening Reform Office at China COSCO Shipping Group headquarters. He holds the titles of Senior Economist and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He was responsible for drafting the Group’s 13th and 14th Five-Year Plans and its “Dual-Carbon” Plan, and is now leading the preparation of the 15th Five-Year Plan. Since 2022 he has headed the Group's green-methanol industrial-chain initiative, participating intensively in regulatory research, supply-chain design, partner negotiations, strategic-cooperation agreements and the establishment of joint-venture platforms.

Mr. Gui Wenbin, born in Shanghai in 1971, is a senior professor-level engineer and President of the 712th Research Institute, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC). For more than three decades he has specialized in ship auxiliary electro-mechanical systems and special marine equipment, and is recognized as one of China’s leading experts in this field. He has contributed to several national ocean-engineering programs, led the complete indigenous development of a complex ship system, filled critical domestic technology gaps and brought the technology up to international advanced levels. He has received numerous provincial/ministerial science-&-technology awards, including one First-Class National Defense Science and Technology Progress Prize, one Second-Class and two Third-Class National Defense Prizes; two First-Class, three Second-Class and one Third-Class CSSC Science-&-Technology Prizes; and one Third-Class Science-&-Technology Prize from the Chinese Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He is a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance for Distinguished Experts. Mr. Gui serves as Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and Chairman of its Marine Electrical Technology Sub-committee, and as Director of the China Ocean Association.

Tom Shi joined Maersk Group in 2000. He worked with APM Terminals from 2000 to 2008, followed by working with Maersk China Limited as General Manager for regulatory affairs from 2008 until present. Before joining Maersk, Tom had worked with Transport Planning and Research Institute under the Ministry of Transport in the area of port planning for more than 10 years.

Mr. Cai Ouchen, designated as the Deputy Director of the APEC Port Study Center co-founded by China Waterborne Transport Research Institute and the APSN, has been long conducted studies on environment and sustainability issues in the maritime sector. He is the Chair of the MEG under the APEC TPTWG, and used to be one of China's UNFCCC negotiators. Since November 2014, he has been getting involved in the study and development of the GPAS program, and being responsible for its implementation by present. Since 2023, he has got involved in the promotion of the international collaboration regarding the green shipping corridor by the Ministry of Transport, PRC.

Dr. Tian Lei has led or participated in over 100 national and ministerial-level research projects and assignments, including drafting the white paper China’s Energy Transition, the Energy Law of the People’s Republic of China, studies on energy development under China’s carbon-peaking and carbon-neutrality goals, planning for a new energy system, deepening oil and gas sector reforms, synergistic development of computing power and electricity, and energy planning for the Silk Road Economic Belt. He served as a Chinese expert in the G20 peer review of fossil-fuel subsidies under the U.S.–China framework. Dr. Tian has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in leading domestic and international journals and authored five academic monographs. He has received nearly ten awards, including first- and second-class prizes for Outstanding Research Achievements from the National Development and Reform Commission. He sits on the editorial boards of journals such as "Natural Gas Industry" and is a reviewer for "Energy Policy and Emerging Markets Finance and Trade".

Mr. Huiming Gong is the Executive Director of Sectoral Transition, Energy Foundation China. Mr. Gong received two Master’s degrees, one from the University of California, Riverside, in Environmental Toxicology, and the other from Peking University in Environmental Sciences.

Mr.ZHANG Chuandong joined CMA CGM(China) Shipping Co., Ltd from 2021 as general manager of public affairs, in charge of public affairs of CMA CGM Group in China and assist group in green fuel development and marketing analysis.
Graduated from Xiamen University with bachelor degree in international trade, ZHANG had served years in state ministry and Chinese embassy, with working experiences in central and local enterprises.

Zhao Kai, the Chief Representative of the Methanol Institute in China. He joined the Methanol Institute in 2015 and is committed to supporting and promoting the public policy of the methanol industry in China and liaising with the government, domestic industry associations, members, media and other industry practitioners to promote the safe and healthy development of the methanol industry. As the first author, he has published many papers and professional reports at home and abroad, and co-authored a monograph on methanol vehicles and applications in English (Springer Publishing). He is also involved in drafting many national and other standards for the methanol industry, including standards for methanol vehicles, methanol fuels, methanol refuelling stations, methanol-based fuels for boilers and related facilities.

Justin WU, as the Hydrogen Business Development Director of Envision Energy, is responsible for expanding the hydrogen business in China, bringing more cooperation chance and value to Zero Carbon industrial parks, customers, and local government.
Before joining Envision Energy, Justin served at ThyssenKrupp Nucera as the Marketing & Sales manager for Green Hydrogen Business in China, and had a detailed understanding and knowledge of China hydrogen business.

Lawrence is Deputy Director at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), where he concurrently serves in both the International Division and the Maritime Decarbonisation
Division. In his international portfolio, he focuses on strengthening Singapore’s engagement in global maritime transport relations and shaping international maritime policies. In his
decarbonisation role, he drives Singapore’s initiatives for sustainable shipping and leads
strategic collaborations with global partners to advance the energy transition in the maritime
sector. He also serves as the Convenor of ISO/TC8 (Ships and Marine Technology) SC25
(Maritime GHG Reduction) WG1 (Alternative Fuels for Ships), contributing to the development of international standards for alternative fuels and the reduction of GHG emissions from maritime transport. Prior to joining MPA in 2023, Lawrence spent 12 years at the Singapore Ministry of Transport (MOT), where he led the development of domestic and international climate change and environmental sustainability policies across aviation, maritime, and land transport. He has represented Singapore at forums including the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). As a member of the UNFCCC Team of Technical Experts, he continues to contribute to the global climate regime through the review of national climate reports. Earlier in his career, Lawrence served as a Naval Officer with the Republic of Singapore Navy. He holds a Master of IT in Business (Financial Technology & Analytics) from Singapore. Management University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
